The University of North Georgia's clubs, organizations, offices, and activities are listed on 天美社区 Connect, our online engagement platform. It is your one-stop shop for interacting with alumni, friends, peers, coworkers, and more!

It offers a simple means of getting in touch with groups and activities that you're interested in. It aslo allows the creation of forms, keep official rosters, and store official club papers. Find more support and details using the .

All students have access to 天美社区 Connect, which allows everyone to look up and explore the departments, clubs, events, and programs on campus. Every page, referred to as a group, gives you information about joining, or how to learn more about the club, department or organization. Enter the same credentials that you use to access an on-campus computer or your 天美社区 email account.

天美社区 Connect for Faculty and Staff

天美社区 Connect is a great place to connect, promote and engage with all those at 天美社区. Here are some services that may be useful for faculty and staff.

The 天美社区 Alumni community has a far reach with over 50,000 alumni. Stay connected with 天美社区 once you become a member of the 天美社区 Alumni Association (天美社区AA).

How to Start a Club

Start a Student Club

  1. Requirements to Start
    • A total of four enrolled 天美社区 students
    • A faculty or staff advisor
  2.  Submit New Club Registration Form
    • Next, you must submit the new club registration form found on 天美社区 Connect.
  3. SGA Approval Process
    • The Student Government Association on your campus will review the application and vote on whether or not to approve.
    • This process takes around 2-3 weeks.

Start a Sport Club

  1. Meet with Sport Club Administrator
    • Meet with the Sport Club Administrator on your campus to discuss student interest in the club and review requirements of the club – including facility equipment needs, operational needs, outlet for competition, instructional needs, and feasibility at University of North Georgia.
  2. National Governing Body Requirements
    • Sport Clubs must have a National Governing Body. Clubs must be a member of their club’s respective affiliation, governing body, conference, or league.
    • Clubs who are not members of their respective affiliation, governing body, conference, or league will not be eligible to participate in any type of competition. This includes any scrimmage, tournament, game, or event where the club is competing against another university or club team.
    • Participants must complete any insurance, physical fitness, equipment, or competency requirements as mandated by respective affiliations, governing bodies, conferences, or leagues.
    • Clubs must abide by safety standards, precautions, and guidelines required by their league, affiliation, governing body, or conference for practices and contests.
  3. Hold an Interest Meeting
    • Hold an interest meeting and gather names, student ID numbers, and contact information of interested individuals.
    • There must be at least 12–15 individuals present at the interest meeting for the potential club to move forward in the recognition process.
  4. Establish Leadership and Club Constitution
    • Decide club officers, advisor, dues, etc., and construct a constitution for the club.
  5. Risk Management Requirements
    • At least one member of each club (minimum of one officer) MUST be CPR/AED/First Aid certified.
    • At least one certified member must be present at all practices, games, and tournaments. Certified individuals need to have a copy of their certification card on file in the Center for Student Engagement & Leadership.
    • It is highly recommended that coaches be CPR/AED/First Aid certified.
    • Each individual is encouraged to carry personal health insurance. The University of North Georgia does not provide insurance for individuals or groups.
  6. Approval Process
    • Once the club is approved by the Center for Student Engagement & Leadership, it must also be approved by the Sport Club Administrator.
    • Clubs will be on probation for six months and are not eligible for funding until the probationary period is complete.
    • The probationary period does NOT include summer months; only academic school year months count toward the six-month probationary period.
