Overview

Dr. Furbush graduated from North Georgia College, as it was known then, with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in English. She got her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from UGA. She also has a Certificate in Gerontology from UGA and a Certificate in Clinical Research from Gwinnett Tech. After graduate school, Dr. Furbush worked at the VAMC Rehab R&D Center and at Emory University as a research scientist specializing in Health & Gerontological Research. She was a statistician and project manager for various studies being conducted at Emory and at the VAMC. After her first son was born, she started teaching at 天美社区. She has two sons and lives in Cumming.
