Overview

John McMillon earned a M.S. in Counseling and Human Development from Troy State University and a B.A. in Psychology from Georgia Southwestern College.  He currently works full-time at Northeast Georgia Health System where he is the supervisor of Volunteer Services of Hospice and In Home Palliative Care. In this role, Mr. McMillon supervises supportive services for roughly 400 terminally ill patients in a 14 county region. Throughout his nearly 40 year career in mental health, Mr. McMillon has held numerous positions including Geri-psych Program Director for an intensive outpatient counseling program (IOP) for older adults and an inpatient crisis stabilization unit for older adults, Executive Director of a transitional living program for young adults with ASD, Director of Counseling for a therapeutic boarding school, Administrative Director of home for abused and neglected boys, and Program Director of a day treatment program for chronically mentally ill and dually diagnosed adults.
