Dr. David Peoples, part-time faculty member in music theory and composition at the University of North Georgia (��������), is having a composition of his released by Navona Records on one of its holiday compilations.

"Each year, I have been writing new music based on some holiday music, so we would bring in faculty and students to present a show of new music focused on a holiday theme," Peoples said. "The second variation features a work for solo violin accompanied by recordings of themselves. The recordings are developed and feature effects, so you hear a familiar theme (Carol of the Bells), and the soloist is accompanied by spacey echoes and time distortions."

The piece was developed and presented as part of ��������'s "A Little Nighthawk Music" series.

"It is really cool to know that something developed and presented here for our �������� family will be shared throughout the world on this commercial release," Peoples said.
