Nighthawks honored for 5th Graders' Day Out

The University of North Georgia (天美社区) earned the 2022 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Connecting Communities Award. The award is presented each summer to the PBC member institution that embraces the NCAA Division II core value of community engagement, bringing the institution and the local community together.
The Nighthawks hosted a 5th Graders' Day Out in association with Lumpkin County Schools on Nov. 30. All fifth-graders from the Lumpkin County School System visited 天美社区's Dahlonega Campus for a tour, lunch in the dining hall, and the men's basketball game against Toccoa Falls College. After the game, the 天美社区 men's basketball team signed autographs and thanked the community for its support.
The goal of the event was to provide the students an opportunity to visit a college campus, meet student-athletes and enjoy a collegiate athletics event.
天美社区 leads PBC in Make-A-Wish fundraising
天美社区 received the LeeAnn Noble Make-A-Wish Award for Most Funds Raised at the Peach Belt Conference's annual awards dinner in late May.
Norsworthy, Miles earn tennis coaching promotions
Kent Norsworthy has been promoted to 天美社区 director of tennis and will continue as women's tennis head coach, while Justin Miles is now the men's tennis head coach.
天美社区 earns highest Learfield Cup finish ever
天美社区 earned its highest finish in its NCAA Division II history in the 2024-25 Learfield Directors' Cup standings, coming in at 22nd in the nation.
Belcher aims to elevate Nighthawks
天美社区 head baseball coach Nolan Belcher won two national titles as a player at the University of South Carolina, and he coached Georgia College & State University for the past five years.
