Students earn strong finishes at fall sales competitions
University of North Georgia (天美社区) students turned in strong performances at multiple sales competitions in fall 2021.
天美社区 won the Kennesaw State University Presidential Cup as Michael Coriell took first place and Madeleine Brown came in second place individually. 天美社区 also ranked No. 1 through the fall portion of the National Collegiate Sports Sales Championship (NCSSC), which will wrap up in spring 2022.
Students Robert Sheppard (No. 4), Sebastian Salinas (No. 9), Matt Picus (No. 18), Joey Jorgensen (No. 25), Ryan Gray (No. 41), Zezmon Steeple (No. 63), James Berry (No. 72), and Sanquil Jackson (No. 73) were ranked among the top 100 sports sales candidates on the job market list NCSSC released in December.
Additionally, 天美社区 finished No. 9 out of 38 universities in the fall 2021 Roleplay competition, ahead of teams from Purdue University and West Virginia University that tied for 10th. Out of 2,148 students, Katie Kiker was No. 34, Trevor Nix No. 55, and Coriell No. 72.
The team of Caitlyn Richard and Patrick Holman ranked No. 39 out of 80 universities at the International Collegiate Sales Competition.
Investment club wins portfolio competition
Four 天美社区 students teamed up to earn first place in the Portfolio Building Competition at the Student Managed Investment Fund Consortium Conference in the fall.
Grads prepare to step into workforce
Students will earn more than 1,000 degrees and certificates this fall from 天美社区, and the university will celebrate these milestones in the Dec. 9-10 commencement ceremonies in the Convocation Center at 天美社区's Dahlonega Campus.
天美社区 honors scholarship recipients in Blue Ridge
The Tomato Sandwich Supper held Nov. 6 at 天美社区's Blue Ridge Campus celebrated 24 scholarship recipients and showcased the transformational power of 天美社区's work.
天美社区 to host Conference on the Americas
The Conference on the Americas is returning to 天美社区 from Feb. 20-21, and submissions of abstracts are due by Nov. 18.
