Overview

Dr. Hamilton’s academic and clinical interests lie at the intersection of physiology, pathophysiology, and interdisciplinary healthcare education. With over two decades of experience in acute care pharmacy and health sciences instruction, she is passionate about helping students connect foundational biological concepts to real-world clinical settings. Her teaching in Anatomy & Physiology supports undergraduate students—especially those pursuing careers in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and allied health—by emphasizing physiological mechanisms, disease processes, and the relevance of biological systems in patient care.

Professionally, she is particularly focused on medication safety in older adults, antibiotic stewardship, and cardiovascular health education. She remains actively engaged in clinical pharmacy practice, contributing to interdisciplinary rounds, patient education, and evidence-based medication management. Dr. Hamilton has led numerous educational initiatives for nurses, pharmacists, and students, and actively mentors learners through case-based instruction, course design, and evidence-based practice integration. Her work fosters critical thinking, clinical awareness, and interdisciplinary collaboration among future healthcare professionals.
